Gwen Rino

Gwen is a Senior Data Scientist on the Code for America’s Safety Net Innovation Lab. As a quantitative researcher on the California project, she works to improve access to SNAP benefits for Californians facing food insecurity. She earned her Professional Certificate in Data Science from UC Berkeley. Prior to joining Code for America, Gwen worked for many years as a K-8 teacher and school leader in the San Francisco Bay Area. Gwen is also a Certified California Naturalist and, outside of work, can usually be found hiking and birding the trails of the Bay Area.
