Elizabeth Hernandez

Elizabeth oversees Code for America’s financial and administrative functions. She brings more than 30 years of business leadership experience to the organization, including her substantial knowledge of technology and service companies. Prior to joining CfA in October 2016, Elizabeth served as Director of Finance at Hispanics in Philanthropy and Interim Vice President of Finance at Hispanic Scholarship Fund. Before entering the nonprofit sector, Elizabeth served as Vice President of Finance at Avid Technology, Inc., a leading provider of digital media software and hardware solutions. Elizabeth holds a Juris Doctor degree in Law from Santa Clara University Law School, and a bachelor degree in Business Administration from Santa Clara University. She completed her certified public accounting experience at Coopers and Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) and holds a CPA license, currently in an inactive status. She is also a member of the State Bar of California.
