Thanks to all who attended or watched Summit 2018!

Save the date for 2019: May 29–31 in Oakland, CA

Over the last seven years, we’ve learned that the three days of every Code for America Summit are a catalyst.

At the Summit, you’ll find the right people—at every level, from every level of government—in the right place, at the right time. Our workshops, main stage presentations and panels, breakout sessions, and networking events show that there’s a cheaper, better, faster way to do the job of government enabled technology.

Summit 2018

May 30 — June 1

Much has changed in the world of government and technology since our last Summit in November 2016.

At our last meeting, public servants and technologists learned from cities who had founded digital service units, heard directly from State Secretaries who had moved to agile procurements for services from large, monolithic solutions and from the bleeding edge of innovation in Federal government.

2017 has brought in a new administration and Congress, putting even more pressure on discovering how to do more with less when it comes to technology and innovation.

But the work needed to build government that’s fit for a digital age hasn’t changed. We must focus on our users, understand their needs and deliver quickly and iteratively.

Summit 2018 will tackle big problems

  • Strengthening digital capability in government

  • Designing policy with tech at the table

  • Shaping the government technology market to make it work better for everyone

  • Using the community as capacity by building government as a platform and engaging the public
