Tracey Patterson (she/her)

Tracey Patterson is the Chief Program Officer at Code for America. Tracey has spent the last 20 years working to advance meaningful change by building relationships between communities, policymakers, coalitions, direct service organizations, researchers, and activists. Before joining Code for America, Tracey was the Director of Engagement and Strategy for California Food Policy Advocates, where she worked to develop inclusive policy solutions and lead successful state legislative campaigns to increase equitable access to food. Before moving into policy and systems change, Tracey developed, evaluated, and led community-based education and organizing initiatives to advance health equity in partnership with low-income communities in San Francisco, New Orleans, and New York City. She received an MPH from the CUNY School of Public Health, and a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Studies of the University of Oregon. Tracey lives with her family in the East Bay.
