Janice Pettey

Janice Pettey is the interim Sr. Director of Development at Code for America. Her work background includes extensive experience leading fundraising teams and executive nonprofit leadership. She founded J.G. Pettey & Associates to provide consulting services to nonprofit boards and staff. Janice is an adjunct professor for the Lily Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University and the University of San Francisco, where she also earned her doctorate degree in organization studies. She’s a returned Peace Corps volunteer (Korea) and currently serves on the Friends of Korea board. Janice was honored with a Lifetime Achievement award in Philanthropy from the Association of Fundraising Professionals and awarded the Henry Rosso Award Lifetime Achievement Award from the Lily Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University. She served as the foreperson for San Francisco Civil Grand Jury in 2015, an experience she describes as transformative.” For relaxation
