Client Success Director, Code for America
Elena holds a master’s degree from UC Berkeley, where she co-created and institutionalized a curriculum and an annual symposium that discusses issues of systemic privilege and oppression. She is endorsed by the State of California as a certified early childhood mental health clinician. She has worked as a therapist, researcher, social worker, and program developer for more than a decade, in different roles—as a therapist and researcher at UC Berkeley’s Golden Bear Sleep and Mood Research Clinic, as a Dependency Investigations Worker at Alameda County's Children and Family Services, and most recently, as a Social Work Lead at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital.
Elena loves to solve problems and is most excited when she can support sustainable changes that promote equity and well-being. When she is not working you will find her cooking, boxing, kayaking, or playing the cello.
