Alex Gonzalez (he/him)

Born and raised in Berkeley, California, Alex Gonzalez is a technologist with a degree in Technocultural Studies from the University of California, Davis. Interested in the intersection of technology with art, culture and science, Alex has experience with a wide range of digital media from audio and video to motion graphics and design. With a history of working with Bay Area non-profits, Alex has 7 years of experience designing and building websites with Drupal and WordPress. Most recently he worked for the Berkeley Student Cooperative, a student run non-profit focused on providing low cost cooperative style housing for low income and underrepresented university students.Outside the technology sphere Alex has enjoyed a career as an electronic music producer spanning the last decade. Under the moniker Spoken Bird, Alex has had the opportunity to play at music festivals and nightclubs all over the US. Beyond music, Alex enjoys camping, hiking, creative writing and video games.
