Procurement is suddenly sexy as innovators find new ways of getting government the tech it needs.

The RFP for the redesign of Boston.gov was a beautiful slide deck, accompanied by a blog with updates about the project. The state of California’s RFP for a new Child Welfare System went from monolithic and waterfall to modular and agile in just a few weeks. Bay Area cities have banded together to collaborate with early stage startups to solve real problems and fast track solutions. But what else is going on around the country?

To find out, we asked Laura Melle, Senior Procurement Lead for the City of Boston's Department of Innovation and Technology, to host the first ever government procurement game show!

Laura is inviting guests to share the most creative, experimental, or just plain cool procurements they've ever seen. The trick? Some of them aren't real. It's your job to figure out what's real and what's made up.

Are you a procurement nerd and want to shout it from the rooftops? Procure this t-shirt!
