Challenge: Accessibility

Twenty-five years ago, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was enacted by the United State Congress to ensure that every American has the chance to enjoy access to the same educational, cultural, transportation, and occupational opportunities -- regardless of physical, cognitive, and developmental abilities.

Digital services have opened access to a variety of services, programs, and activities for millions of Americans.  However, individuals many individuals with disabilities continue to experience barriers when navigating the web.

For National Day of Civic Hacking, we’re asking team to come up with ideas to help make the web an easier place for people with disabilities to find jobs, transportation, and access to education opportunities.
