Every year, hundreds of startups compete for a chance to become a Code for America accelerator company. Interested in the program?
This four month program (Jul-Nov) provides civic startups with the network and training to grow their businesses. In past years, startups have received 100+ hours of mentorship from industry leaders, pitched to hundreads of government officials and gained access to numerous civic tech investors and sales leads. Check out the accelerator program: Current and Alumni Startups
Every month for the course of the program, startups convene at Code for America’s San Francisco headquarters for an intensive week-long curriculum. Companies receive $25,000 dollars to grow their business, training from some of the nation’s top civic tech leaders, office space in CfA’s SF HQ and access to a growing network of government innovators, press and tech luminaries.Notes from the Field
Applications open in early Spring and close on May 31. We are looking for startups who are providing services on top of open data, bringing modern web technology to governments, and changing the way citizens request or receive services from government. Code for America seeks a diverse Accelerator class in all regards. We seek applications from a broad spectrum of companies — in size, in the definition of civic, and in geographic location. And we encourage female and minority founded startups to apply.
